We must remember the pollinators!

Every spring we "clean up" the yard and remove dead plant material. We don't realize that native bees need the hollow stems and brushy piles to rear the next generation.

Please pile woody, hollow plant stems and leave areas of the yard untouched. Ground nesting bees like soft ground and stones to dig under. I often construct nursery areas by laying a hollow sided stone over soft earth. Toads like these areas too.
