Good things coming...

We are warming and things are growing in the valley. I am looking forward to the newly planted North garden and what will happen in the bluffisde seep area near the house. I try to remember that everything I do can make or break a habitat so I try to make habitats as I go.

The birdhouses have all been cleaned and I am thinking of where to plant food plots for next fall and winter forage. I love to plant sunflowers for seed but Giant Yellow Amaranth is the best all season bird food and lasts till March. There will be plenty of pollinator habitat in all of the fields this year and the new rock garden has many hiding holes for snakes.

The land knows

At Singing Trees Farm we notice as much of what nature tells us as possible. If plants show up where we don't expect them...we make room for them. Diversity is the key to health and survival.
